ustream - now your class can have its own tv channel

Starting this Friday, my ESL World History class has agreed to air a live weekly webcast featuring different ages of our planet's history. Our first segment will feature the period between the stone age and Mesopotamia. Out of all the tech projects I've done at school, this promises to be the easiest and perhaps the most impressive. And it is all made possible by http://www.ustream.tv/ All a teacher has to do is create a new show and start broadcasting via webcam.

The interface is very intuitive and you have the option to have a live chat along with your program. When you are ready to go just hit the broadcast button. It couldn't be any easier. I will let everyone know how it goes after we actually have our first show. Just in case you were wondering you can password protect your shows.
